SAIC’s Amy Alving Presents Deserving Schools with STEM Grants

SAIC (NYSE: SAI) donated $17, 000 to two Panama City Beach-area schools.

Surfside Middle School and Covenant Christian School Science received the grants to boost Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) programs.

SAIC Chief Technology Officer Amy Alving presented the grants to school officials, including a pair of $2, 500 awards made to individuals.

“SAIC is delighted to recognize the extraordinary dedication of two special teachers with ‘STEM coaching’ awards, ” Alving said. “Kathy Jones and Jay Buddi exemplify the contributions of teachers around the country who ‘go the extra mile’ to bring the excitement of STEM to their students.  We thank them for their efforts, and offer them this token of appreciation.”
