GTEC Banks Marine Support Contract

Global Defense Technology & Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: GTEC) won a contract from the U.S. Marine Corps to support independently developed, mobile water packaging system to meet their expeditionary water needs.

According to the firm, the deal is a firm-fixed-price, five-year, single award indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity (ID/IQ) contract with a $45 million ceiling. Initial funding of a $1.2 million order is expected imminently.

“With a U.S. military that is more expeditionary than ever before, we are pleased to expand our range of water solutions to aid the U.S. Marine Corps and other armed forces in meeting their critical force sustainment needs in challenging environments, ” said John Hillen, CEO.
