Eurosatory 2010: ATI Pulls Back Curtain on New Titanium Alloy on Day 2

ATI (NYSE: ATI) used Eurosatory to roll out a new titanium alloy for defense applications.

The firm believes “the ATI 425(R)-MIL Alloy titanium plate and sheet will be especially well-suited for defense applications, particularly for vehicle armor and structural and suspension components for land-based vehicles.”

According to ATI, “the ATI 425(R)-MIL Alloy is also available in sheet gauges, which are continuously cold-rolled and annealed in coil lengths of up to 2, 500 feet to create products that offer a unique combination of strength and formability. This compares to 6-4 titanium which is pack rolled in lengths of up to 20 feet.”
