Announced today, Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) received a $14 million task order from the Department of Veterans Affairs, Office of Information and Technology, Office of Enterprise Development to support the agencies Blood Bank Program systems. The one year contract was ordered by GSA and will be performed primarily around Chicago at the Hines VA Field Office.
“Helping the VA support our country’s Veterans is important to SAIC and it shows in the work that our people do. We are pleased to continue our support of this important customer by delivering solutions that help the VA Blood Bank Services team support their IT projects, ” said Anthony Hess, SAIC senior vice president and business unit general manager.
According to their press release, will support all development activities and resolve customer technical issues concerning software and associated interfaces. The Blood Bank Programs support doctors in delivering care and helps in providing safe transfusions.
