John Brennan Speaks on Attempted Terrorist Attack

John Brennan, former CEO of the Analysis Corporation and current Deputy Assistant to the President and Deputy National Security Adviser for Homeland Security and Counterterrorism, spoke recently on CNN’s State of the Union and NBC’s Meet the Press regarding the attempted terrorist attack that took place on Christmas. Despite much recent press criticism of the supposed ‘intelligence failings’ that allowed the attempted attack to take place, Brennan said that “There was no single piece of information that could have pointed law enforcement officials to Christmas bombing suspect Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab.” Nevertheless, he believes that information was available that should have enabled law enforcement officials to stop the attacks.
