News – Webcast Today to Launch Open Government Plan

Today, Tuesday December 8, 2009 there will be the launch of the administration’s Open Government Plan. Vivek Kundra, the federal CIO, and Aneesh Chopra, the U.S. Chief CTO, are planning on launching the comprehensive plan with a webcast that is open to the public. The goal of the plan is to increase transparency and accountability in the government. Additionally, the plan is consistent with the President’s goal to ensure more accessibility and availability of information for all Americans.

The launch and announcement of the plan will occur at 11:00 am Eastern today and streamed live on WhiteHouse.gov. Following the announcement there will be a web forum for discussion of the plan. All are welcome to pose questions or offer suggestions.
