Aneesh Chopra, Former Federal CTO, Helps Spearhead Startup Hunch Analytics

Aneesh Chopra, who served as the U.S.’ first federal chief technology officer, helped co-found Arlington, Va.-based data analytics incubator Hunch Analytics in October 2013 and serves as an executive vice president there.

The company works with healthcare and education leaders to use new data sets and algorithms for decision-making processes in their organizations, according to the corporate webpage.

Hunch Analytics, which employs data scientists and mathmeticians, also works with customers in the energy sector and other regulated industries.

Chopra held the federal CTO role from May 2009 to February 2012 and was a candidate for the Democratic nomination for Virginia lieutenant governor in 2013.

Prior to joining the White House, he served as the state’s technology secretary under then-Gov. Tim Kaine.
