GLOBAL awarded $3.1 million contract to revamp border security


On Friday, GLOBAL Strategies Group (North America), Inc. announced that it has been awarded a $3.1 million contract to provide the next generation of U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) mobile tool trucks to support the agency’s drug interdiction and border security efforts.

Under the terms of the contract, GLOBAL North America will integrate 20 medium-duty diesel-powered Mobile Support  Vehicles (MSV), with an integral diesel generator fitted within a custom body, and equip them with approximately one thousand hand and power tools.  The MSV will replace its predecessor, the Mobile Support System (MSS). The MSS was designed and configured by GLOBAL North America, in conjunction with CBP, during the late 1990s.
