Perot Systems, West Georgia Health System sign seven-year contract

Yesterday, it was announced that Perot Systems and the West Georgia Health System (WGHS) have signed a seven-year contract for Perot Systems to provide Revenue Cycle services and as a result  lower WGHS’s administrative costs related to its revenue cycle and increase cash flow by improving its billing and reimbursement processes.

Perot Systems will provide services for patient access and business office functions and WGHS will have access to enhanced administration and financial management software and process tools to enable efficiency improvements in the hospital business office. These combined improvements are expected to drive sustainable increases in cash collections for the organization.

Perot Systems health care group president Chuck Lyles said, “We were excited to work with WGHS on their market-leading implementation of MEDITECH 6.0. We are eager to drive improvements in their Revenue Cycle and expect to help generate fresh capital for their expanding organization.”

“We expect to receive a number of benefits as a result of our relationship with Perot Systems, ” said WGHS senior vice president and CFO Paul Perrotti. “First, we anticipate our business will be strengthened through improvements in cash collection and cash flow. Additionally, we expect the relationship will help us refine the patient registration process and improve patient satisfaction, which is a win for our patients, families and the health system.”
