The first, in the amount of $98.7 million, calls for the firm to furnish expeditionary litening pods, which are aircraft performance enhancing technology to be mounted on the outside of aircraft. The contractor will provide pods that will enhance navigation and targeting capabilities for the AV-8B Harriers, F/A-18 Hornets as well as other aircrafts.
The second contract, which stands at $13.4 million, will require Northrop Grumman to service the Global Hawk unmanned aerial vehicle by replacing the engine turbines with a commercial variant.
