Northrop Grumman Wins $5.84 Billion in Maintenance Contracts


Northrop Grumman (NYSE: NOC) have rallied after the company announced two new contract wins.  Northrop Grumman will overhaul the US Navy’s Theodore Roosevelt, a Nimitz-class nuclear-powered aircraft carrier carrier, for $2.4 billion and will provide maintenance and upgrade services to the Air Force for its B-2 bomber weapon system for $3.44 billion.

Northrop Grumman is the U.S. Navy’s only builder of nuclear-powered aircraft carriers, at their Northrop . It also makes the B-2 Spirit stealth bomber, which can fly more than 6, 000 nautical miles without refueling and use its stealth capabilities to penetrate protected airspace.
