Lockheed’s JLTV Prototypes Exceed 50, 000 Miles of Combined Testing


Lockheed Martin’s four operational prototype Joint Light Tactical Vehicles (JLTVs): one of vehicle categories A (“Battlespace Awareness” scouts) and C (“Focused Logistics” utility vehicles), and two variants of the Category B model (“Force Application” troop carriers), have exceeded 50, 000 combined miles of successful testing. To simulate operational conditions, the prototypes undergo 2, 000 miles of off-road testing every week.
