James Olson Takes EVP Role at Tempus Global Data; Alan Hall Comments

James Olson, a former executive at Raytheon (NYSE: RTN), has joined Tempus Global Data as executive vice president of strategic data services.

He was most recently responsible for various government and commercial programs within Raytheon’s intelligence and Earth observation unit, Tempus said Monday.

“Tempus is in the data business and James will play a critical role in aligning our dynamic data products with customer need, ” said Alan Hall, chairman and CEO of Tempus.

Olson was the director of business development, civil and operations space at Ball Aerospace (NYSE: BLL) before he joined Raytheon.

He retired from the U.S. Navy in 2006 as captain in the Office of the Defense Assistant Secretary after serving more than two decades at the service.
