L3Harris to Build Ground Control System for NOAA Space Weather Observatory

L3Harris Technologies (NYSE: LHX) has received a five-year, $43 million contract to build a command and control system for the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's next space weather observatory. The company will develop, deploy and operate ground infrastructure of the Space Weather Follow On-Lagrange 1 satellite that is scheduled for 2025 launch, NOAA said Friday.

NASA Taps SpaceX for ‘SPHEREx’ Astrophysics Mission Launch Services

SpaceX has secured a contract to help NASA deploy spacecraft as early as June 2024 for an astrophysics mission that aims to discover more about the universe through observations in near-infrared light. NASA said Friday it expects to spend $98.8 million on launch services for the Spectro-Photometer for the History of the Universe, Epoch of Reionization and Ices Explorer mission or SPHEREx.
