Verizon‘s (NYSE: VZ) Terremark subsidiary has received a $15 million contract extension from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services to provide cloud-based identity management services for the HealthCare.gov website, FCW reported Tuesday.Adam Mazmanian writes that this modification extends the company’s work on managing user access to HealthCare.gov and expands a previous $31 million modification awarded in July to extend services through March 2015.
It also adds to the first contract extension granted in February to allow a transition of cloud hosting services from Terremark to Hewlett-Packard (NYSE: HPQ), which will host the upcoming small business marketplace and provide support for agents and brokers, and staging and testing services, the report said.
