LexisNexis has acquired iyeTek, a developer of traffic accident and citation reporting software, for an undisclosed amount as the companies aim to further develop integrated products for law enforcement usage.A LexisNexis-made crash report management platform uses iyeTek’s technology to help public safety officers process, store and exchange collision data electronically, LexisNexis said Thursday.
“By integrating iyeTek into LexisNexis, we can further assist agencies in implementing more effective strategies to reduce traffic related accidents, injuries and fatalities, while better serving citizens and agencies who need crash data, †said Bill Madison, Lexis Nexis insurance chief executive.

Kalamazoo, Mich.-based iyeTek offers mobile and handheld tools that are designed to automate citations by scanning drivers’ licenses.
LexisNexis says its eCrash platform is built with analytics technology and helps law enforcement agencies identify accident-prone areas.
