Unisys Wins IT Services Work for GSA’s Public Buildings Service; PV Puvvada Comments

PV puvvada_Unisys_EMUnisys Corp. (NYSE: UIS) has won a three-year, $18.8 million task order from the General Services Administration to support the Public Buildings Service‘s information technology infrastructure.

The contract comes under a five-year blanket purchase agreement totaling $150 million where Unisys will help PBS operate applications for managing the workspace provided to several federal agencies across the U.S., Unisys said Wednesday.

“This task order expands the work that Unisys has provided to GSA’s Public Building Service for more than 20 years, ” said PV Puvvada, group vice president of civilian agencies at Unisys Federal Systems.

GSA awarded the BPA in April to six companies who will compete for contracts to maintain desktop computers, develop mobile and cloud platforms, manage building and energy systems and handle help desk services.

Unisys’ latest win under that BPA brings the company’s total award to more than $30 million worth of contracts for infrastructure, application and end user support services, as well as document management and web development.
