SAIC Wins $495 Million Air Force ID/IQ

Science Applications International Corporation has won a prime contract from the U.S. Air Force to provide support systems for integrated base defense at Air Force and other Department of Defense sites worldwide. The five-year, multiple-award, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity (ID/IQ) contract is worth up to $495 million.

SAIC will provide capabilities including the integrated use of tactics, techniques, procedures, and technology, as well as area intrusion detection, access control, and other capabilities under the Force Protection Security Systems contract. Tasks will include design, installation, testing, training and maintenance of integrated base defense physical security systems.

John Thomas, SAIC senior vice president and business unit general manager, said “This award demonstrates our commitment to developing and delivering critical systems and solutions for the protection of Department of Defense assets.”
