Raytheon (NYSE: RTN) and United Technologies Corp. (NYSE: UTX) have agreed to merge in an all-stock deal that will establish a platform-agnostic technology provider within aerospace and defense segments. The combined company will operate as Raytheon Technologies and be headquartered in the greater Boston metro area upon the deal’s completion, which is expected in the first half of 2020, the firms said in a joint statement published Sunday.

Pratt & Whitney Receives $3.2B Modification on F-35 Propulsion System Production, Delivery Contract

United Technologies Corp.'s Pratt and Whitney has secured a $3.24B contract modification to produce 233 propulsion systems for the F-35 program. Pratt and Whitney will provide 56 F135 propulsion systems to the U.S. Air Force, 10 to the Navy, 24 to the U.S. Marine Corps and 143 to non-defense and foreign military sales customers, the Department of Defense said Friday.
