Lockheed Martin has announced that its efforts under the U.S. Army’s first ground-based integrated signals intelligence, electronic warfare and cyber system will focus on coalition interoperability, C4ISRNET reported Monday. John Wojnar, director for cyber and electronic warfare strategy at Lockheed, stated that the company will integrate its system with international partners and the Army.

Perspecta Buys Electronic Warfare Tech Developer DHPC

Perspecta (NYSE: PRSP) has finalized its acquisition of DHPC Technologies for an undisclosed sum. Perspecta said Friday the transaction will allow it to combine its expertise in cybersecurity, secure communications and advanced analytics with DHPC’s electronic warfare platforms and address the emerging cyber/EW convergence area.

Fincantieri Subsidiary Wins Potential $5.6B Navy FFG(X) Frigate Design, Construction Contract

A Wisconsin-based subsidiary of Fincantieri has won a potential 15-year, $5.6B contract from the U.S. Navy to design and build up to 10 FFG(X) guided-missile frigates. Naval Sea Systems Command received four offers for the fixed-price incentive contract, which has a base value of $795.1M and covers engineering and class services, post-delivery availability support, training equipment, crew familiarization and provisioned item orders, the Department of Defense said Thursday.

Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) received a $74.8M contract from Consortium Management Group to begin the second phase of development for the U.S. Army’s Multi-Function Electronic Warfare Air Large program. The company said Wednesday it will develop the “air large” component of the MFEW-AL system, which is designed to deliver combined cyber and electromagnetic spectrum capabilities to warfighters and battlefield commanders.
