Cybercom Taps Recorded Future for Threat Analysis Service

Recorded Future has landed a $50M production-other transaction agreement with U.S. Cyber Command  to help federal customers analyze threats in real time. The company said Thursday it will also produce commercial threat reports to aid Cybercom personnel in managing and securing the Department of Defense Information Network.

L3Harris to Provide Unmanned Vehicle for Navy Expeditionary Undersea Mission; Daryl Slocum Quoted

The Defense Innovation Unit and the U.S. Navy have selected L3Harris Technologies (NYSE:LHX) to build and test an underwater drone for the service branch. L3Harris said Wednesday it will provide the Iver4-900 unmanned undersea vehicle as part of an other transaction agreement to support the Navy's Next Generation Small-Class Maritime Expeditionary Mine Countermeasures UUV program.

Pivotal’s Paul Puckett: Lean Methodologies Could Help Agencies Advance Modern Software Development

Paul Puckett, chief technology officer for federal at Pivotal Software (NYSE: PVTL), has said the development of the U.S. Air Force’s tanker refueling application indicated that the service can deploy scalable software using lean methodologies. “That approach involves combining agile practices with pair programming, test-driven development and user-centered design to create software that meets a mission need,” Puckett wrote.
