Seattle-based F5 (Nasdaq: FFIV) has added four technology industry veterans to the company’s leadership team.F5 said Wednesday Tom Fountain, former senior vice president of strategy and corporate development at McAfee, will serve as executive vice president and chief strategy officer.
In his new capacity, he will oversee long-term strategy and growth efforts in the areas of application delivery and security, as well as corporate development, business development, technology partnerships and business incubation activities.
At McAfee, Fountain established corporate strategy, forged technology partnerships, managed operations and drove corporate development.
F5 also appointed Ana White, former general manager of human resources for Microsoft‘s (Nasdaq: MSFT) marketing and consumer business arm, to the roles of executive vice president and chief human resources officer.
White will oversee people practices, professional growth programs, recruitment, diversity, organizational development and employee advocacy initiatives in support of F5’s more than 4,500 personnel worldwide.
She led human resources strategy, talent management, organizational capability and diversity and inclusion in her previous post at Microsoft.
F5 also hired Kara Sprague, former head of the technology, media and telecommunications practice for the Western Region at Mckinsey and Company, as senior vice president and general manager of application delivery controller.
Sprague served in various leadership positions across Mckinsey’s technology practice throughout her thirteen-year career at the management consulting firm.
Ram Krishnan, former chief product officer of CloudPassage‘s cloud workload security offering, will serve as SVP and GM of security business at F5.
Krishnan previously held security and cloud-related general management and product leadership posts at various organizations such as Hewlett Packard Enterprise (NYSE: HPE) and Symantec (Nasdaq: SYMC).
Sprague and Krishnan will be responsible for product portfolio management and marketing for their respective business segments.
