Wade Warren, formerly acting deputy administrator of the U.S. Agency for International Development, has been appointed chief strategy officer for international development organizations at Deloitte Consulting‘s federal practice.
He will oversee the company’s portfolio of professional service offerings intended for U.S. foreign assistance and international development programs, Deloitte said Thursday.
The 27-year USAID veteran previously led its transition efforts in the final months of the Obama administration and served as acting administrator in the opening months of the Trump administration.
His career at the agency also includes time as assistant to the administrator at the Bureau for Policy, Planning and Learning; acting chief operating officer at the Bureau for Foreign Assistance and deputy assistant administrator at the Bureau for Global Health.
Prior to USAID, he was chief financial officer of the U.S. Telecommunications Training Institute and a House legislative director.
