The Utah State University Research Foundation has received a potential five-year, $99.4 million contract to research and develop space-based sensor platforms for the Missile Defense Agency.
The foundation will perform work at its Logan, Utah-based facility through Aug. 16, 2021 under the indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract, the Defense Departmentsaid Wednesday.
The cost-plus-fixed-fee contract also covers technology R&D and engineering support services.
MDA will use its R&D, test and evaluation funds to support task orders to be issued under the IDIQ contract, according to DoD.
The USU Research Foundation is a nonprofit organization founded in 1967 and works to develop systems designed for military, space and civil applications through its space dynamics laboratory unit.
