The military branch needed a system to control integrated fires, get battlespace awareness, easily make decisions, and defend against threats. Northrop Grumman’s system can detect, track, and destroy aerial threats using a combination of hardware, software, sensors, and other technologies.

Northrop will deliver as many as 160 IBCS units to the Army and its international partners under this contract, which runs through December 2026. The U.S. Army Contracting Command will manage the contract at Redstone Arsenal.
