Tom Arseneault
Tom Arseneault, president and chief operating officer of BAE Systems’ U.S. subsidiary and a former Wash100 Award recipient, has been appointed to take a new dual role as president and CEO beginning on April 1.
Arsenault has been with the company for 22 years and is responsible for the operational performance and functional teams of Arlington, Va.-based BAE Systems Inc. in his current capacity, the company said Tuesday.
Arseneault elevated to COO in February 2014 and added the president title in May of this year. Prior to BAE, he served in engineering and program management roles at Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT), General Electric (NYSE: GE) and TASC.
He will succeed Jerry DeMuro, who assumed the chief executive post in 2014 and is a 2019 Wash100 winner. DeMuro will assume the role of executive vice president for strategic initiatives and retain his seat on the company’s U.S. board of directors.
