Timothy Romenesko, chief operating officer of AAR Corp.‘s expeditionary services segment and a 35-year company veteran, will serve as chief financial officer at the Wood Dale, Illinois-based aviation aftermarket services provider beginning Aug. 1
He will succeed Michael Sharp, who is leaving the company after a 20-year career there, and continue to serve as vice chairman of the board, AAR said Wednesday.
David Storch, AAR chairman, president and CEO, said Romenesko will be responsible for helping the company drive efficiency and manage return on capital as CFO.
“He will also continue his role of focusing on strategic growth and ensuring an environment of strong compliance and control, ” Storch added.
Romenesko previously led the company from 2007 to 2015 as president and COO after he served as finance chief of the company for 13 years.
AAR provides inventory management, parts supply, original manufacturer equipment parts distribution, aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul, components repair, airlift operations, mobility systems and command-and-control centers support to the government and commercial sectors.
