The State Department has cleared a potential $386 million foreign military sale of GBU-39/B Small Diameter Bombs Increment 1 weapons and related equipment to Australia.
The Defense Security Cooperation Agencysaid Wednesday the sale includes up to 2, 950 GBU-39/B bombs,  50 guided test vehicles equipped with inert fuze, spare and repair parts, training,  engineering, logistics and technical support services.
Boeing (NYSE: BA) will be the principal contractor for production under the FMS deal.
The U.S. and Australia have yet to determine a principal contractor for integration services, according to DSCA.
DSCA said the sale will complement Australia’s plan to acquire Lockheed Martin-built (NYSE: LMT) F-35 fighter jets from the U.S. government.
