Sprint Federal Operations has received a potential $215.7 million contract modification to continue to help the Defense Information Systems Agency operate and maintain DISA’s fiber telecommunication systems in Europe.
DISA issued the modification to exercise the second option year of a previously awarded contract and the extension will occur from Oct. 1, 2016 to Sept. 30, 2017, the Defense Departmentsaid Wednesday.
The agency will fund the $10.3 million face value of the modification using fiscal 2017 defense working capital funds.
DoD noted the original solicitation for the contract was issued as “other than full and open competition pursuant to 10 U.S. Code 2304(c)(1).”
