Shannon Dillon, a former information technology specialist and security program manager at the Department of Health and Human Services, has joined Science Applications International Corp. (NYSE: SAIC) as director of business development and she will be responsible for helping drive SAIC’s HHS growth initiatives, FedHealth IT reported Tuesday.
Dillon has more than two decades of IT sales, contract and capture management and business leadership experience.
She previously served as president and CEO of Z Corp., a woman-owned company focused on GovCon law consulting services and held business development positions at Akira Technologies, Visual Soft, FedStore and Merlin.
During her two-year tenure at HHS, she crafted project plans, budgets and work statements for the department’s IT security initiatives. She also worked as a management analyst at the Food and Drug Administration.
Her career also included time as senior manager at Intelligent Decisions with responsibility over HHS, Department of Transportation and Social Security Administration accounts, and as associate project manager at HP.
