Serco Inc. Lands Spot on Potential $600M FEMA Disaster Recovery Support IDIQ; Dave Dacquino Comments

Serco‘s North American subsidiary has secured a spot on a potential five-year, $600 million contract to support disaster recovery and emergency response missions of the Federal Emergency Management Agency.

The company said Tuesday Serco Inc. will hire and deploy personnel as part of the Public Assistance Technical Assistance Contract IV contract to help states, local agencies, tribes and other organizations respond to and recover from a critical situation through FEMA’s Public Assistance Program.

Work also covers the provision of advisory and assistance services, cost analysis and technical assessments for the FEMA’s relief missions.

Dave Dacquino, chairman and CEO of Serco Inc., said the company’s team of accountants, biologists, engineers, environmental planners, financial analysts and project managers will aim to assist FEMA in the event of a presidentially declared disaster at the state and local levels.

The agency picked Serco Inc. as sole-awardee for the Zone 2 region that encompasses the states of Arkansas, Colorado, Illinois, Indiana, Louisiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Montana, New Mexico, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Texas, Utah, Wisconsin and Wyoming.
