The Space Development Agency upheld its decision to award contracts to L3Harris Technologies (NYSE: LHX) and SpaceX to build missile tracking satellites for the proposed National Defense Space Architecture following the reevaluation of bids for the contracts, C4ISRNET reported Thursday.
The agency lifted the stop work order on Dec. 28 after confirming its original decision.
“SDA is confident that reevaluation resulted in a fair outcome for all involved parties,” said Jennifer Elzea, a spokesperson for SDA. “The agency continues to make all efforts to keep the tracking layer of the National Defense Space Architecture on schedule."
