Science Applications International Corp. (NYSE: SAIC) has secured a potential five-year, $86 million task order from the U.S. Air Force to provide plans and policy support to the service branch’s major commands and deputy chief of staff for strategic deterrence and nuclear integration.
The company said Tuesday the task order covers technical, analytical, operational and planning subject matter support through a one-year base period and four one-year option periods.
“For more than 40 years, we have provided the Air Force with subject matter expertise and professional talent to support their mission to meet U.S. national security objectives, ” said Mark Escobar, senior vice president and general manager of SAIC’s intelligence community and Air Force customer group.
Work will occur primarily in Washington and would extend to global Air Force installations, SAIC noted.
The service branch and the General Services Administration‘s Federal Systems Integration Management Center issued the single-award task order through the One Acquisition Solution for Integrated Services contract vehicle.
