Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) has appointed two executives to new executive vice president roles in a move that takes effect immediately.
Richard “Rick” Edwards, formerly EVP of the companys missiles and fire control business, has been selected by the board of directors to serve as EVP of Lockheeds international business, Lockheed said Monday.
He will oversee the development and implementation of growth strategies for Lockheed Martin International through the advancement of industry partnerships and client relationships across 70 countries as well as continue to lead the companys business activities in Saudi Arabia.
Edwards is a 35-year company veteran who held other senior leadership roles such as VP for tactical missiles and combat maneuver systems and capture program director for the joint common missile.
Frank St. John, formerly EVP and deputy for MFC programs, will succeed Edwards as EVP of the MFC business unit at Lockheed.
St. John previously served as VP of Orlando operations and tactical missiles and combat maneuver systems within the MFC business.
He has been with Lockheed for more than three decades and has held program management roles with responsibility over Joint Common Missile, Joint Air to Ground Missile and Longbow Missile and Fire Control Radar programs.
Marillyn Hewson, Lockheed chairman, president and CEO, said she believes St. Johns and Edwards technical experience, leadership and business knowledge will help the firm pursue growth opportunities.
