- Rich Fisne has left HII Mission Technologies to serve as vice president of contracts and procurement at Modern Technology Solutions Inc.
- The appointment comes a week after former HII Mission Technologies executive Ashutosh Gokhale was named as MTSI’s executive vice president and chief financial officer
- Fisne has more than 40 years of government contracting experience
Modern Technology Solutions Inc. announced Wednesday that it has appointed Rich Fisne as vice president of contracts and procurement, bringing decades of government contracting leadership experience to the employee-owned engineering and technology services company.
In his new role, Fisne will oversee MTSI’s contracts organization and support the company’s efforts to execute complex federal programs while maintaining compliance and operational excellence.
What Is Fisne’s Career Background?
Before joining MTSI, Fisne worked for more than eight years at HII Mission Technologies as senior vice president of contracts, procurement, pricing and compliance.
“Rich’s extensive industry experience, collaborative leadership style, and commitment to excellence make him an outstanding addition to MTSI,” said Ashutosh Gokhale, who was confirmed on June 29 as MTSI’s executive vice president and chief financial officer. “His expertise strengthens our contracts organization and supports our continued growth,” he added. Gokhale also moved to MTSI from HII Mission Technologies.
Fisne served a similar role at MANTECH from 2011 to 2018. Aside from leading contracts and subcontracts, he was also SVP of MANTECH’s mission solutions and services group. Prior to that, he was VP of contracts and federal systems at Unisys. He was a business manager at BTG, contracts manager at Tetra Tech and senior contracts manager at American Management Systems.
In his earlier years, Fisne was a financial analyst at ICF, and later at SAIC. He was also a data rights analyst at aviation company VSE Corp.
What Are Fisne’s Other Career Credentials?
Fisne earned a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from the University of Scranton. He also has a master’s certificate in accounting from the University of Virginia. He won various awards for his achievements in government contracting, and was also part of other major companies such as Alion Science and Technology and what was then Booz Allen Hamilton.
