Raytheon (NYSE:RTN) has received a potential $92 million contract to engineer and provide technical support for Stinger air defense systems of the U.S. Army, Taiwan and Poland.
The Defense Departmentsaid Thursday it expects the company to complete work under the combined domestic and foreign military sales contract by Dec. 29, 2022.
Stinger is designed with control and guidance systems that work to help military users intercept aircraft and cruise missile threats.
The Army also uses the weapon on the service branch’s Apache attack helicopters to conduct air-to-air engagements.
One bid was submitted to the Army Contracting Command for the cost-plus-fixed-fee contract via an online solicitation process.
