Qmulos’ Matt Coose: Data Analytics Key to Real-Time Risk Management

Matt Coose, chief executive officer of Qmulos, a cybersecurity and information technology compliance firm, has said government agencies that aim to build up their cybersecurity posture should adopt data analytics in order to automate the process of converting data into œreal-time technical evidence.

Coose wrote that such evidence can help agencies verify how effective their security controls are.

He noted that agencies can detect insider threats, perform continuous monitoring and investigate incidents at the granular level, among other cyber capabilities, if they implement a basic approach to data tagging.

The adoption of real-time adaptive responses that can be coordinated across risk management applications and cyber defense platforms can help speed up the decision-making process for analysts, he said.
