Progeny Systems has secured a potential $92.1 million contract to provide engineering and technical services for the U.S. Navy‘s undersea defense arsenal.
The company will develop software, commercial off-the-shelf products and integrate hardware and software for submarine and undersea warfare weapons systems under the sole-source contract that has a $17.1 million initial value, the Defense Departmentsaid Friday.
Sixty-five percent of work will occur in Manassas, Va., and the rest in Middletown, R.I., and San Diego. DoD expects the company to complete services in June 2019.
The Naval Sea Systems Command will obligate $6.5 million at the time of award from the service branch’s fiscal 2017 research, development, test and evaluation funds.
Progeny Systems offers software and hardware integration, research, development, computer-vision and manufacturing support services to the government sector.
