The U.S. Navy has awarded Praxis a potential five-year, $88.2 million task order to explore methods for the service branch to generate radio signals across high-power radio frequency spectrum.
Praxis will collaborate with the Naval Research Laboratory to develop signal generation techniques for atmospheric research and spacecraft or aircraft calibration programs, the Defense Departmentsaid Wednesday.
DoD noted the order has a two-year base value of $17.4 million and work could extend for an additional three years through July 5, 2021 if all options are exercised.
The Naval Research Laboratory will obligate $50, 000 at the time of award from the service branch’s fiscal year 2016 research, development, test and evaluation funds.
Praxis received the order under Pool 4 category of the General Services Administration‘s One Acquisition Solution for Integrated Services-Small Business contract vehicle.
