What Is the Scope of the Navy ICOP Contract?

The Chantilly, Virginia-based company said Monday the single-award, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract covers work focused on the rapid delivery of capabilities to warfighters operating in demanding environments as part of ICOP.

“This award reflects the trust our customer places in Parsons to deliver adaptable, mission-focused solutions,” said Mike Kushin, president of defense and intelligence at Parsons. “We are proud to support capabilities that help operators perform more effectively at the tactical edge.”

What Is ICOP?

Parsons said ICOP is a portable, ruggedized workstation designed to help operators enhance battlespace awareness and readiness in demanding operational environments.

According to the Department of the Navy, ICOP is an all-source intelligence system that offers training resources and visual information management capabilities. The platform could also help improve decision-making while supporting operations in locations where traditional infrastructure may be limited.

How Does the Award Align With Parsons’ Other Navy Contracts?

The ICOP award adds to Parsons’ portfolio of Navy work.

The company recently won a spot on a potential $350 million Navy contract supporting intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance and cyber requirements. It also secured a Navy contract supporting biodefense research efforts.

In October, Parsons won a position on the $10 billion Worldwide Expeditionary Multiple Award Contract to provide the service with integration and logistics support. The company also partnered with the Navy to develop and deploy the BEACH biometrics system for vetting and protecting the service’s shipboard personnel abroad.
