Oshkosh's (NYSE: OSK) defense business has received a $407.3M order to provide Joint Light Tactical Vehicles to the U.S. Army, Marine Corps and two foreign military sales customers.
The order includes 1,240 JLTVs and associated equipment to support Army and Marine Corps missions as well as the governments of Lithuania and Slovenia, Oshkosh said Monday.
JLTVs are designed for rugged off-road environments and equipped with components such as lasers, sensors, weapons and communications systems.
George Mansfield, vice president and general manager of joint programs at Oshkosh Defense, said the vehicle works to integrate with over 100 mission-specific package configurations.
He added that the company works with the JLTV joint program office to ensure the platform's capacity to defend against sophisticated adversaries.
Army Contracting Command's Detroit Arsenal division placed the order for the vehicles and related kits.
