Northrop Grumman (NYSE: NOC) has received a potential four-year, $80.5 million contract from the U.S. Army to provide engineering support for air and ground electronic warfare operations.
The Army Contracting Command solicited and received one bid for the Electronic Warfare Air/Ground Next Generation Innovative and Novel Engineering Support contract, the Defense Departmentsaid Thursday.
The ENGINES program will aid the Army’s suite of AN/APR-39 radar signal detecting sets and provide a channel for the U.S. military to identify approaches to develop aircraft survivability equipment.
ENGINES will also cover efforts to modify and retrofit current fielded production systems as well as support the installation and testing of APR-39 systems on rotary and fixed-wing aircraft of the Army, Marine Corps and Navy.
Northrop is scheduled to finish contract work Sept. 25, 2021.
