Navy Taps Eight Firms for $284M Technical, Engineering Support Services IDIQ


Eight companies have secured spots on a potential $283.8M contract to provide technical and engineering support services for electrical power and generation systems aboard the U.S. Navy™s vessels.

Work will cover the installation of such power mechanisms on assault craft, submarines and surface ships, the Defense Department said Monday.

Work will occur in the firms™ respective facilities, as well as at the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Philadelphia Division through September 2023.

The recipients of the indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity, cost-plus-fixed-fee contract are:

  • Alion Science and Technology
  • Amee Bay
  • American Systems
  • Gibbs & Cox
  • L3 Technologies™ (NYSE: LLL) Unidyne subsidiary
  • Life Cycle Engineering
  • McKean Defense Group
  • NDI Engineering

The Navy will obligate $1.5M from fiscal 2018 operations and maintenance and other procurement funding at the time of award, of which $581.4K will expire at the current fiscal year’s end.

The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Philadelphia Division received eight proposals for the contract via the FedBizOpps website.
