Alion Science and Technology has secured a potential five-year, $72.9 million contract to help the U.S. Navy develop, integrate, test and evaluate prototopye systems for unmanned weapons, control units and vehicles.
These systems will be designed to support unmanned platforms in the areas of mine warfare; amphibious warfare; surface warfare; diving and life support; coastal and underwater intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance; and other maritime and littoral operations, the Defense Departmentsaid Thursday .
The indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract has a $13.5 million initial value and will reach its cumulative value if all options are exercised.
The Navy received one offer via a competitive procurement on FedBizOpps and will obligate $10,000 in fiscal 2018 working capital funds at the time of award.
Alion is scheduled to finish contract work by March 2023.
