Navy Seeks Combat System Integration, Test Support for Small Surface Combatants

The U.S. Navy is looking for potential contractors to help integrate and test combat systems for the military branch’s small surface combatant vessels and maintain related homeport facilities.

The Navy said in a notice posted Friday on the beta SAM website that the SSC Combat System Ship Integration and Test contract includes I&T support for the service’s littoral combat ships and large unmanned surface vessels for a period that spans fiscal years 2021 through 2031.

According to the request for proposal, work will include program management activities such as planning, documentation and post-delivery test team support.

The Navy said in a separate document that the contractor must also help manage two Navy facilities for the Freedom and Independence-class LCS variants as well as another facility for the LUSV.

The effort will support the Program Executive Office Integrated Warfare System within the Naval Sea Systems Command.

Responses to the RFP are due on July 22.
