Navy Picks 6 Firms for Information System Technical Support Contracts

Six companies have won separate contracts to provide technical support services for the U.S. Navy™s ground, maritime and airborne information systems and networks.

Each of the three-year, cost-reimbursement contracts awarded to Cabrillo Technologies, Science Applications International Corp. (NYSE: SAIC), Scientific Research Corp., Calnet, Solute and Booz Allen Hamilton (NYSE: BAH) contains two option years, the Defense Department said Thursday.

Cabrillo Technologies, a McKean Defense Group business unit, received a $21.8 million contract, which could reach a total value of $37.1 million if contract options are exercised.

SAIC was awarded a $20.7 million contract, which could hit a total value of $35 million if the service branch exercises all options.

SRC secured a $20.4 million contract that could reach $35 million in total value if options are exercised.

Calnet received a $19.4 million contract, which could reach a total value of $33.2 million should the Navy exercise all options.

Solute was awarded a $19.3 million contract that could hit $33 million in total amount if options are exercised.

Booz Allen secured an $18.1 million contract that could reach a total value of $30.5 million if the military branch exercises all options.

The multiple-award, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contracts cover network requirements assessment, network simulation, modeling and testing, network security and management, information assurance, network certification, and prototype development work.

DoD said work will occur in San Diego, California, through June 29, 2019.

The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center Pacific awarded the contracts through a competitive procurement process with six proposals received and will obligate funds upon award of each task order.
