Two joint ventures and four independent companies have won positions on a two-year, $99M U.S. Navy contract for design-build and design-bid-build services to support construction projects within the Naval Facilities Engineering Command's Washington area of responsibility.
Contractors can compete for task orders to construct, repair or modify shore facilities and utilities via the indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract, the Department of Defense said Tuesday.
Tasks may also include specialized work such as plumbing, installation and electrical services.
NAVFAC received 23 proposals for the IDIQ and obligated $194,821 at the time of award.
Contract work will occur through May 2022 in Maryland, Virginia and the District of Columbia.
