Science Applications International Corp. (NYSE: SAIC) has received a potential five-year, $141 million task order from the U.S. Navy to provide a range of product development support services for current and future programs run by the Naval Sea Systems Command.
SAIC said Thursday it will perform technical services such as systems engineering, ship integration and tests to help NAVSEA’s program executive office for integrated warfare systems further develop products such as Aegis and Aegis Fleet Readiness, Future Combat Systems and Zumwalt-class destroyers.
The task order has a one-year base period with two one-year options and two one-year award terms.
Tom Watson, senior vice president and general manager of SAIC’s Navy and Marine Corps customer group, noted the company has performed the work for NAVSEA over five years.
SAIC will also render development, coordination and technical systems integration services to help NAVSEA acquire and integrate large-scale combat systems.
