Mitre has appointed Donald Kerr, former principal deputy director of national intelligence, and former Michigan Congressman Mike Rogers to respectively serve as chairman and vice chairman of the nonprofit company™s board of trustees.
Kerr replaces John Hamre, current president and CEO of the Center for Strategic and International Studies and a former deputy secretary of defense, Mitre said Tuesday.
Jason Providakes, president and CEO of Mitre, said both appointees bring public and private sector experience as the organization aims to support the public interest of government, industry and academic partners.
Mitre has added Lance Collins, Yvette Melendez and Adalio Sanchez as members of its board of trustees.
Collins serves as the Joseph Silbert Dean of engineering at Cornell University in Ithaca, N.Y., while Sanchez works as the incumbent president of management consulting firm S Group Advisory.
Melendez has three decades of experience managing federal, academic and nonprofit institutions such as the Hartford Foundation for Public Giving, Hartford HealthCare and the Connecticut State University System.
