MetTel has received task orders worth over $230M combined to provide telecommunications and network services to support the General Services Administration’s information technology modernization efforts, FCW reported Thursday.
The New York-based telecom company secured the two orders through GSA’s potential $50B Enterprise Infrastructure Solutions contract vehicle which includes companies such as CenturyLink (NYSE: CTL), Verizon (NYSE: VZ) and AT&T (NYSE: T).
The Nationwide Data Task Order, which covers a 12-year period and has a ceiling value of $169.1M, requires MetTel to provide data services including managed security and Trusted Internet Compliance support.
MetTel’s second award, the Nationwide Voice Task Order, has a total potential value of $64.1M and covers voice-related services including telephone support and voice over internet protocol assistance. The order will also run for a 12-year performance period.
In February, MetTel secured a potential $253M order under the EIS contract to support the Social Security Administration’s network and access management operations.
The recent awards come ahead of GSA’s plans to freeze orders under vehicles such as Networkx and Washington Interagency Telecommunications System 3 by fiscal 2021, according to FCW’s report.
